ODLC Fast Facts
FACT:
The ODLC is the central labour body or ‘House of Labour’ in the city of Ottawa.
FACT:
The ODLC was founded in 1872.
FACT:
Chartered by the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) and affiliated to the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL).
FACT:
The ODLC has the responsibility of carrying out the policies of the CLC and the OFL in Ottawa.
FACT:
It is the role of the ODLC to promote the goals of the labour movement in Ottawa at the municipal level.
FACT:
The ODLC represents more than 50,000 union members from 90 different union locals.
FACT:
The ODLC Membership meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (except July) at 7:00 pm, 280 Metcalfe Street.
